Laing Country Cabins - Terms & Conditions of Sale

1. These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern the purchase of any luxury lodge, cabin, shepherds hut or related product (“Product”) from Laing Country Cabins (“the Company”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). By placing an order, the customer (“you” or “the Buyer”) agrees to be bound by these Terms.

Please read them carefully before placing your order.

2. Orders and Acceptance

2.1. All orders are subject to availability and written confirmation by the Company.

2.2. An order is deemed accepted only once the Company issues a written order confirmation or invoice.

2.3. The Company reserves the right to refuse, amend, or cancel any order prior to confirmation at its sole discretion.

3. Pricing and Payment

3.1. All prices quoted are in Pounds Sterling (£) and are exclusive of VAT unless otherwise stated.

3.2. Payment terms will be detailed on your invoice. Full payment (or an agreed deposit, if applicable) must be received in accordance with those terms.

3.3. The product will not leave our factory until full payment has been confirmed.

3.4. Ownership of the Product will not pass to the Buyer until full payment has been received by Laing Country Cabins.

4. Delivery and Transport

4.1. Delivery and transport are not included in the purchase price of the Product.

4.2. Transportation is arranged through an independent transport company, which operates separately from Laing Country Cabins.

4.3. Once your lodge or cabin is ready for dispatch, the appointed transport company will contact you directly to arrange delivery and will issue an invoice for transport costs.

4.4. Payment for delivery and transport must be made directly to the transport company, in accordance with their terms and prior to delivery.

4.5. Laing Country Cabins accepts no liability for delays, damage, or additional costs incurred during transport or delivery, as these services are provided by a third party.

4.6. It is the Buyer’s responsibility to ensure that the delivery location is suitable and accessible for unloading, positioning, and installation of the Product.

5. Product Specification and Quality

5.1. All Products are manufactured or supplied in accordance with the agreed specifications at the time of order.

5.2. Minor variations in colour, materials, or dimensions may occur due to natural materials or manufacturing tolerances.

5.3. Images, drawings, and descriptions on our website or in promotional materials are for illustrative purposes only and may not represent the exact finished Product.

6. Cancellations and Returns

6.1. As our lodges and cabins are made to order, cancellations after order confirmation may result in loss of deposit or full payment, depending on the stage of manufacture.

6.2. Returns are not accepted unless the Product is found to be defective or not as described, in accordance with UK consumer protection law.

7. Warranty

7.1. Laing Country Cabins provides a structural guarantee: all lodges, cabins, and sheds are guaranteed against structural defects for a period of 10 years from the date of delivery, covering defects in materials and workmanship under normal residential use.

7.2. This warranty does not cover damage caused by misuse, poor maintenance, alteration, neglect, or natural wear and tear.

7.3. Any warranty claim must be submitted in writing with supporting evidence and photographs where applicable.

8. Liability

8.1. Laing Country Cabins shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss or damage arising out of or in connection with the purchase, delivery, or use of the Product.

8.2. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Company’s total liability shall not exceed the total purchase price paid for the Product.

9. Force Majeure

The Company shall not be held liable for any failure or delay in performance due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including (but not limited to) adverse weather, transportation delays, strikes, material shortages, or other unforeseen events.
